Relieve tension and stress with calming florals and cooling astringents. Our favorite florals include Lavender (of course) Rose Geranium (the love drug) and Ylang Ylang (take me away!) Then drop in some Peppermint or Lemongrass to freshen and brighten it up for a cooling, clearing effect.
Need to perk up? Try mixing even parts Peppermint and Tangerine, then adding a few drops each of Lemon and Eucalyptus.
We also love the reviving blend of Tangerine with a dash of Fir and a little bit of Lemon.
We tested it in our lab and no doubt the Tea Tree oil takes first prize for keeping the germs at bay. We like to add Eucaylptus and Lemon or Lemongrass to give this blend some extra fresh power, and some Orange, Tangerine or Bergamot to keep it grounded.
Jessie is the type of person who has a hard time sitting still. Grounding oils like Patchouli do wonders to make cleaning a more calming experience. Her blend of choice is 15 drops of Lemongrass to keep it fresh and 10 drops of Patchouli to keep it chill.
While we all wish we could use Sandalwood in everything, sadly it is scarce these days. A great alternative is Cedar oil, which also has some nice bug repellant properties. We like to soften up our Cedar with a floral like Rose Geranium, and then add some Fir to keep it homey and woodsy.
